While our cocktail bar in Leicester Square may be closed, that doesn’t mean we’re not up for a party on the weekend.

Adjusting to life in lockdown has been a challenge for a lot of us, especially anyone who has found themselves having to work from home. When you’re not leaving the house very much, it can be difficult to know where the working week ends and the weekend begins. However, it’s important to make sure you’re still getting enough downtime.

Earlier this month, the Huffington Post offered some tips on how to make the most of your weekends, even if you can’t go out-out.

First up, make sure you close down your work computer and put all the work-related paraphernalia somewhere you can’t see it for your weekend. Set up some new weekend rituals and, if you can, save your ‘I deserve it’ beer until Friday.

If you’re really missing heading out with all of your mates, you could have a virtual listening party and join one of our virtual live DJ streams. Make an evening of it by getting dressed up in all your finery and have a good dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room.

Speaking to the Guardian earlier this month, a number of people who have jobs that involve periods of social isolation offered their top tips to help us all get through lockdown.

For instance, submarine captain Ryan Ramsey stressed the importance of having a different routine on your weekends to your weekdays. He also said that it’s important to “enjoy what’s there”, so make the most of what you can do from home for at least the next few weeks!
