We might all be stuck in the house for the relatively foreseeable future, but that doesn’t mean that the world stops turning… and spring is just around the corner!
The weather has certainly improved over the last couple of days and it’s important to remain as positive as we can at the moment, so why don’t you check out some of these spring-inspired cocktail recipes to mix up at home and enjoy out in the garden this evening? Take a look!
The Cherry Blossomtini
For this little taste of springtime, you’ll need some sake, Cointreau or other orange liqueur, cranberry juice, a splash of fresh lime juice and two dashes of orange bitters.
Apparently, this particular beverage works very well indeed as a dinner cocktail, going well with all sorts of food - but especially Japanese cuisine, if you’re planning on doing some cooking over the next few weeks as well.
The Honey Rose Margarita
If margaritas are more your style, you’ll love this honey rose version from Town and Country magazine.
It’s a nice easy cocktail to make if you’re not confident in your abilities as a mixologist, and all you need for the drink is Cointreau, blanco tequila, fresh lemon juice, honey water and rose water. Chuck it all in a shaker with some ice, then strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass.
The Spring Buzz
This is a bit of an interesting one because it combines whiskey and chamomile tea - except you drink it cold instead of hot. You’ll need some chamomile tea, honey, whiskey, St Germain (which is an elderflower liqueur) and lemon juice.
