So, how are we all finding lockdown? It’s certainly an interesting time, that’s for sure, but we know that there are lots of you out there who are enjoying the odd cocktail in quarantine from time to time… or even more occasionally. And that’s great! What better time than right now to perfect your own mixology skills?

What is interesting, however, is to see which spirits are proving most popular at the moment and it seems that vodka is the tipple of choice for the lockdown generation right now.

A new study by Bacardi has just revealed that 35 per cent of those aged between 25 and 65 plumped for vodka when picking their favourite spirits for making cocktails, followed by gin and rum.

So, with that in mind, we thought we’d do a bit of a vodka cocktail quest on the internet to find you some delicious recipes that you can try over the weekend. Let us know which your favourites are!

Rhubarb and custard cocktail

With this drink, you get the fun of making your own rhubarb syrup (don’t worry, it’s easy) so you can give your culinary skills a boost, as well. It sounds delicious to us, with other ingredients including advocaat, vodka and lemonade.

Long Island iced tea

Looking for something that really packs a punch? It’s gotta be the Long Island iced tea. You’ll have to raid the liquor cabinet as this particular drink takes vodka, dry gin, tequila, rum and triple sec… the whole shebang!

Apple martini

This is deliciously sweet and you can amend the recipe to suit your particular tastes, whether you want it more on the sour side, something with an authentic flavour or if you want it to look neon green. Have fun!
